Know when your documents are opened.
Send a PDF by WhatsApp or email with a tracked link for every recipient. See exactly who opened it, when, and how often — keep it behind a password that travels separately — and finish with a certificate of delivery you can show anyone.
WhatsApp and email · password-protected PDFs · certificates of delivery

From upload to proof, in four steps.
- Step 1
Upload a PDF
A statement, a notice, a contract. Give it a name recipients will recognise, and a password if it is private.
- Step 2
Add the recipients
From your contacts or typed in, with a WhatsApp number, an email or both. Each one gets their own link.
- Step 3
They open it
The link opens the document in their browser or phone. If it is protected, the password arrives on a separate channel.
- Step 4
You see it, and can prove it
Every open, view and download appears as it happens — and a certificate of delivery sums it up.
Tracked links
Who opened it, when, and how often.
Every recipient gets their own link and their own copy of the file, so every open belongs to a person. You see the first and last time they opened it, how many times they viewed and downloaded it, on which device, and roughly where.
- A link — and a copy of the file — for every recipient
- Opens, views and downloads, as they happen
- Device, browser and approximate location of every open
- A notification the first time it is opened

Password protection
The file and its key, on separate channels.
Protect a PDF and DocuTrack encrypts it with AES-256. When a recipient opens their link, the password goes to them on WhatsApp, by email or both — so someone who gets hold of the link alone cannot read the document.
- AES-256 encryption of every copy
- The password sent when they open it — not before
- WhatsApp, email or both
- Resend the password at any time

Certificate of delivery
A record anyone can check.
Ask for a certificate and DocuTrack issues a report of who received the document and when each person opened it — fingerprinted, timestamped by an independent authority, and checkable by anyone through its QR code.

Fingerprints
SHA-256 hashes of the document and of its tracking record, printed on the certificate.
Trusted timestamp
An RFC 3161 timestamp from an independent timestamp authority fixes when it was issued.
A public check
The QR code opens a page that shows the certificate’s details, so anyone can compare.
Evidence bundle
Download the document, its certificate and the full activity log together, as one file.
WhatsApp and email
Delivered from your own number or mailbox.
Links and passwords go out on WhatsApp from your own number, through TextBot, or by email from your own mailbox. Anyone who has not opened their link can be reminded automatically until they do.
- Your WhatsApp number, through TextBot
- Your mailbox, over SMTP
- Reminders until it is opened — then they stop
- Copy any link to send it yourself

Bulk send
One document, a whole spreadsheet of people.
Upload a PDF and a CSV of names, WhatsApp numbers, emails and references. Every row gets its own tracked link, delivered in paced batches in the background — a statement run or a round of notices in one go.
- Up to 5,000 recipients per upload
- Each with their own tracked link
- Passwords and reminders for everyone
- Delivered in the background

Everything that is waiting, at a glance.
The overview shows what went out, what was opened and who is still waiting — on the desk or on the phone.

Every feature, by subject.
Each has a page of its own — what it does, what you see, and what your recipients see.
Tracked links
Each recipient gets their own link and their own copy of the PDF. Every open, view and download is recorded with the time, device and approximate location, and you are told the first time it is opened.
Password-protected PDFs
Encrypt a PDF with AES-256 and let DocuTrack send each recipient the password by WhatsApp or email when they open their link, so the file and its key never travel together.
WhatsApp and email
Links go out from your own WhatsApp number through TextBot, or from your own mailbox. Unopened links are resent on a schedule and stop the moment they are opened.
Certificate of delivery
A report of who received a document and when they opened it, with SHA-256 fingerprints, a trusted RFC 3161 timestamp and a QR code to a public page anyone can use to check it.
Bulk send
Upload a PDF and a spreadsheet of names, numbers and emails. Every row gets its own tracked link, delivered in paced batches, with reminders and a password if you want them.
Users and roles
Owners, admins, senders and viewers, each seeing what their role allows, with every change recorded in an audit log and every company’s documents kept apart.
Questions, answered.
How does DocuTrack know a document was opened?
Every recipient gets their own link. When they open it, DocuTrack serves the PDF and records the open against that person — the time, their device and browser, and an approximate location from their internet address. It works in every browser and on every phone.
Does it track the PDF after it is downloaded?
Partly. Each copy carries an open action that reports back when it is opened in Adobe Acrobat or Reader on a computer — Adobe first asks the reader to allow it. Browser viewers, macOS Preview and phone viewers do not run it, which is why the tracked link is the main record and the in-PDF signal is a bonus.
How does password protection work?
The PDF is encrypted with AES-256. When a recipient opens their link, DocuTrack sends them the password on a separate channel — WhatsApp, email or both — so the file and its key never travel together. You can resend the password at any time.
Which WhatsApp number do the messages come from?
Your own. WhatsApp delivery uses TextBot, which puts your own WhatsApp number on an API: add your TextBot API key under Settings and links and passwords go out from that number.
Can I send by email instead?
Yes. Add your mailbox’s SMTP details and links and passwords go out from your own address. When a recipient has both, WhatsApp is tried first and email second.
What is the certificate of delivery?
A PDF report of a document’s delivery and opens, issued at the moment you ask for it. It carries SHA-256 fingerprints of the document and of the tracking record, a trusted timestamp from an RFC 3161 timestamp authority, and a QR code to a public page where anyone can check that it has not been altered.
Know when it’s opened.
Send your next document with a tracked link for every recipient — on WhatsApp or by email, with a certificate of delivery at the end.
